Robert Anacker is a Hip-Hop/Rap artist with deep passion for the entertainment industry, popularly known by his stage name “Type Uno” which he makes use due to being diagnosed with diabetes in 2008. He is a descent from an African-American mother and Caucasian father, he picked up interest in the entertainment industry at a young age, being influenced from late 90’s to early 2000’s hip hop era. He is a graduate of Los Angeles Film School where he earned his bachelor’s degree. It’s of no surprise Type Uno is a talented artist emerging in the entertainment industry with his incomparable skills which makes it easier for him to handle different music genre with his innovative style, raw energy and his distinctive rhythm coupled with his own distinguished tunes in the industry helps in captivating his audience. Right from his high school days, he has mastered the skills to record, mix, and engineer music on his own, which he later developed efficiently as his skill-set enhanced. Furthermore, Type Uno has opened-up for different top-notch artists including YMCMB, Lil Debbie, O.T. Genesis, Sticky Fingaz, Compton AV and many more. He attributed his achievement to his hard work, passion and determination to reach the peak being the secret to his accomplishment and he keeps pushing towards achieving the very best.

Type Uno is a Los Angeles based artist coming out of Slauson & Overhill, Windsor Hills-View Park area. Grew interest in the music industry at a young age, being influenced by the late 90’s to early 2000’s hip hop era. Being a person to speak how he feels within his music for others to relate and be able to tell stories within his music. “Painting Pictures with Words”TYPE UNO is who he is being diagnosed with Type1 Diabetes at early age in 2008, this was a traumatic experience for myself and family members around him to deal with because it’s unexplainable till this day, it’s not hereditary nor in his family we honestly don’t know how this came about.

The project name “Taken For Granted” is a summary of how Type Uno’s life has been with friends, loved ones, hardships, relationships and everything. How you can give your all and be honestly genuine to a person or people that’s in your life and the energy is not reciprocated. With close people he has dealt with being so quick to turn their back. “You’re always looking out for them but when tables are turned they aren’t there for you or have the thought of you.”
Who’s are some Type Uno music influences?
Type Uno’s influences are Fabolous out of Brooklyn, NY and Nipsey Hussle who grew up right down the street – Crenshaw and Slauson.
What are some thing you learned about yourself during this Quarantine ?
Came to a understanding more that I’m honestly a genuine soul, read books, enhancing my writing skills but I’ve learned more about others and theirs actions towards me, who’s really there checking in on you during this period of time and who’s checking in on you just to use you.
